Performance and application
FASD-309L is a type 23%Cr-12%Ni stainless steel wire with good corrosion resistance, the alloy is also used for surfacing transition layer of low alloy steel and for welding dissimilar steel. It is necessary to control the weld dilution rate when surfacing transition layer and welding dissimilar steel.
FASD-309L has good corrosion resistance, but this properties is secondary in the welding of dissimilar steel.
